The values shown are the maximum charging voltage (bulk/absorption phase), not the battery's operating voltage. The charger temporarily supplies a higher voltage, which — after charging finishes and a few hours of rest — settles on its own to a lower resting voltage. Gel and AGM batteries should not be discharged below 11V, as this negatively affects their lifespan.
